PE and Sports Premium
text
Little Sutton C of E Primary School is passionate about creating sporting opportunities for our pupils. As a school, we once again gained the Gold School Games Mark in 2023/2024 for our outstanding commitment to school sports.
Children have the opportunity to take part in a huge variety of sports including football, netball, multi-skills, basketball, dodgeball, tag rugby, cross country and many more.
To ensure we can offer the best sporting opportunities to children, we utilise sports premium. Sports premium provides money to primary school headteachers to improve the quality of the P.E. and school sport activities they offer their pupils. Ofsted’s new Inspection Framework which came into effect from September 2019, gives greater recognition to schools’ work to support the personal development of pupils, such as the opportunities they have to learn about eating healthily and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Inspectors will expect to see schools delivering a broad, ambitious education, including opportunities to be active during the school day and through extra-curricular activities. To find out more please visit this link.
